We measure the branching fraction and C P -violating flavor-dependent rate asymmetry of B 0 π 0 π 0 decays reconstructed using the Belle II detector in an electron-positron collision sample containing 387 × 10 6 ϒ ( 4 S ) mesons. Using an optimized event selection, we find 125 ± 20 signal decays in a fit to background-discriminating and flavor-sensitive distributions. The resulting branching fraction is ( 1.25 ± 0.23 ) × 10 6 and the C P -violating asymmetry is 0.03 ± 0.30 . Published by the American Physical Society2025

  2. We report a measurement of the e + e π + π π 0 cross section in the energy range from 0.62 to 3.50 GeV using an initial-state radiation technique. We use an e + e data sample corresponding to 191 fb 1 of integrated luminosity, collected at a center-of-mass energy at or near the ϒ ( 4 S ) resonance with the Belle II detector at the SuperKEKB collider. Signal yields are extracted by fitting the two-photon mass distribution in e + e π + π π 0 γ events, which involve a π 0 γ γ decay and an energetic photon radiated from the initial state. Signal efficiency corrections with an accuracy of 1.6% are obtained from several control data samples. The uncertainty on the cross section at the ω and ϕ resonances is dominated by the systematic uncertainty of 2.2%. The resulting cross sections in the 0.62–1.80 GeV energy range yield a μ 3 π = [ 48.91 ± 0.23 ( stat ) ± 1.07 ( syst ) ] × 10 10 for the leading-order hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment.   3. We present a measurement of the branching fraction and time-dependent charge-parity ( C P ) decay-rate asymmetries in B 0 J / ψ π 0 decays. The data sample was collected with the Belle II detector at the SuperKEKB asymmetric e + e collider in 2019–2022 and contains ( 387 ± 6 ) × 10 6 B B ¯ meson pairs from ϒ ( 4 S ) decays. We reconstruct 392 ± 24 signal decays and fit the C P parameters from the distribution of the proper-decay-time difference of the two B mesons. We measure the branching fraction to be ( B 0 J / ψ π 0 ) = ( 2.00 ± 0.12 ± 0.09 ) × 10 5 and the direct and mixing-induced C P asymmetries to be C C P = 0.13 ± 0.12 ± 0.03 and S C P = 0.88 ± 0.17 ± 0.03 , respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. We observe mixing-induced C P violation with a significance of 5.0 standard deviations for the first time in this mode. Published by the American Physical Society2025

A<sc>bstract</sc> We report a determination of the CKM angleϕ3, also known asγ, from a combination of measurements using samples of up to 711 fb−1from the Belle experiment and up to 362 fb−1from the Belle II experiment. We combine results from analyses ofB+→ DK+,B+→ Dπ+, andB+→ D*K+decays, whereDis an admixture ofD0and$$ {\overline{D}}^0 $$ D ¯ 0 mesons, in a likelihood fit to obtainϕ3= (75.2±7.6)°. We also briefly discuss the interpretation of this result.

We present the results of a search for the b d + flavor-changing neutral-current rare decays B + , 0 ( η , ω , π + , 0 , ρ + , 0 ) e + e and B + , 0 ( η , ω , π 0 , ρ + ) μ + μ using a 711 fb 1 data sample that contains 772 × 10 6 B B ¯ events. The data were collected at the ϒ ( 4 S ) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e collider. We find no evidence for signal and set upper limits on branching fractions at the 90% confidence level in the range ( 3.8 47 ) × 10 8 depending on the decay channel. The obtained limits are the world’s best results. This is the first search for the channels B + , 0 ( ω , ρ + , 0 ) e + e and B + , 0 ( ω , ρ + ) μ + μ . A<sc>bstract</sc> We report measurements of thee+e→$$ B\overline{B} $$ B B ¯ ,$$ B{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ B B ¯ , and$$ {B}^{\ast }{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ B B ¯ cross sections at four energies, 10653, 10701, 10746 and 10805 MeV, using data collected by the Belle II experiment. We reconstruct oneBmeson in a large number of hadronic final states and use its momentum to identify the production process. In the first 2 – 5 MeV above$$ {B}^{\ast }{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ B B ¯ threshold, thee+e→$$ {B}^{\ast }{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ B B ¯ cross section increases rapidly. This may indicate the presence of a pole close to the threshold.

A<sc>bstract</sc> We present the result of a search for the charged-lepton-flavor violating decayτ→μμ+μusing a 424 fb−1sample of data recorded by the Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKBe+ecollider. The selection ofe+e→τ+τevents is based on an inclusive reconstruction of the non-signal tau decay, and on a boosted decision tree to suppress background. We observe one signal candidate, which is compatible with the expectation from background processes. We set a 90% confidence level upper limit of 1.9×10−8on the branching fraction of theτ→ μμ+μdecay, which is the most stringent bound to date.

A<sc>bstract</sc> We present a measurement of the ratio$$ {R}_{\mu }=\mathcal{B}\left({\tau}^{-}\to {\mu}^{-}{\overline{\nu}}_{\mu }{\nu}_{\tau}\right)/\mathcal{B}\left({\tau}^{-}\to {e}^{-}{\overline{\nu}}_e{\nu}_{\tau}\right) $$ R μ = B τ μ ν ¯ μ ν τ / B τ e ν ¯ e ν τ of branching fractions$$ \mathcal{B} $$ B of theτlepton decaying to muons or electrons using data collected with the Belle II detector at the SuperKEKBe+ecollider. The sample has an integrated luminosity of 362 ± 2 fb−1at a centre-of-mass energy of 10.58 GeV. Using an optimised event selection, a binned maximum likelihood fit is performed using the momentum spectra of the electron and muon candidates. The result,Rμ= 0.9675 ± 0.0007 ± 0.0036, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic, is the most precise to date. It provides a stringent test of the light-lepton universality, translating to a ratio of the couplings of the muon and electron to theWboson inτdecays of 0.9974 ± 0.0019, in agreement with the standard model expectation of unity.

  9. We measure the branching fraction of the decay B D 0 ρ ( 770 ) using data collected with the Belle II detector. The data contain 387 million B B ¯ pairs produced in e + e collisions at the ϒ ( 4 S ) resonance. We reconstruct 8360 ± 180 decays from an analysis of the distributions of the B energy and the ρ ( 770 ) helicity angle. We determine the branching fraction to be ( 0.939 ± 0.021 ( stat ) ± 0.050 ( syst ) ) % , in agreement with previous results. We measure the tau-to-light-lepton ratio of inclusive B -meson branching fractions R ( X τ / ) B ( B X τ ν ) / B ( B X ν ) , where indicates an electron or muon, and thereby test the universality of charged-current weak interactions. We select events that have one fully reconstructed B meson and a charged lepton candidate from 189 fb 1 of electron-positron collision data collected with the Belle II detector. We find R ( X τ / ) = 0.228 ± 0.016 ( stat ) ± 0.036 ( syst ) , in agreement with standard-model expectations. This is the first direct measurement of R ( X τ / ) .
